BREAKING News: Nigerian Secret Police(SSS) Now Invading Homes Of Federal Judges In Abuja

A contingent of officers from the Department of State Security (DSS) this evening surrounded the home of two Nigerian federal judges, Nnamdi Dimgba and Adebiyi Ademola. The federal judges currently reside at 32 and 34 Samuel Ogbemudia Cresent in the Apo Legislative Quarters of Abuja. The invading officers arrived and surrounded Justice Dimgba’s home around 9PM Nigerian time, according to sources speaking to SaharaReporters. Shortly after the siege, neighbors of the judge told SaharaReporters that the DSS agents began breaking into his compound with a sledgehammer. Mr. Dimgba was reportedly not at home at the time of the invasion. However, a source said DSS had been uncomfortable with recent rulings by the judge and because of his vocal criticism of DSS for violating rights of persons detained at its facility. Wrong Medication Killed my Son - Stella Oduah

The  first son of Senator Stella Oduah has died at a Turkish private hospital in Abuja due to the wrong prescription by a medical doctor; SaharaReporters has learned. Senator Oduah's son, whose name was given as Maxwell Chinedu Etoromi, died yesterday after he took a wrong medication prescribed for him following a tooth surgery. SaharaReporters learned that the 28-year-old graduated from Guildford College in the UK before returning to Abuja. Nasarawa State Government denies Slashing Workers Salaries by 50%

This is according to the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Nasarawa State, Yusuf Usman during an interview on Sunrise Daily. “The strike was as a result of labour’s inability to comprehend the situation on ground, they had no reason to go on strike without actually taking into account the real situations on ground, Mr Usman told Channels television. “Here is a state that for five years consecutively has been paying without failing and without any default. “I emphasised this point because as we are talking with you there are so many states that are far behind in the payment of salaries, owing arrears of five, six, seven months. “So if Nasarawa State would, despite all the hardship in the country, keep fit with the payment of salaries for 5 years without arrears I think there is no reason. Abia Corper Batters and Removes Teeth of Female Corper

A male National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, member identified as Oluwabusiyi Adeola Bolarinde has reportedly battered and removed two teeth of a fellow female corps member, Temitope Adedewe, for refusing to date him. The incident took place in Arochukwu, Abia State during the weekend. The Nation newspaper reports that National Youth Service Corps headquarters Abuja is yet to officially respond to the case. Adewewe, who has known Bolarinde since June of 2015, said he started making advances at her during their undergraduate days at the History Department of OAU, Ile-Ife, adding that she always refused yielding to him “because he was the aggressive type.” She said, “The first time I spoke to him was when we were in camp.” According to the report, both got posted to the same Local Government Area and also the same Place of Primary Assignment, PPA. The Police in Rivers State has debunked claims that it acted a script of the Presidency by blocking off the venue of the Repeat National Convention of the People's Democratic Party (PDP)  this was contained in a statement issued by the the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Mr Francis Odesanya on Wednesday,  he denied reports that his men sealed off the venue of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Convention in the state. One of the only verified escapee from the dreaded, callous terrorist group in Northern Nigeria Amina Ali,  was reportedly quoted as saying she misses her husband.   You would recall that shortly after her escape in company of her supposedly husband,  she was immediately transfered to a health Centre where she was taken care of and the  husband, identified only as Mohammed Hayatu at the time of their escape, told a witness that he too was kidnapped by Boko Haram.  He was placed in military detention for interrogation by Nigeria's joint intelligence center. The worst that can happen to a groom is to have a runaway bride.  A situation where a bride refuses to go ahead with the wedding  after spending so much on the traditional marriage and paying the ever increasing Nigerian bride price. Teachers Protest Over Unpaid Salaries in Bayelsa State

The streets of Bayelsa State got more than vehicles and pedestrians as secondary school  teachers took over major roads to press home their demands before marching to the state secretariat in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital in south-south Nigeria. They claimed that while other workers in the state have received half month payment three times, they have not received anything. The teachers also rejected government’s proposition to give them half pay for the month of August on Thursday, insisting that the government must pay them as the other workers. The Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Secondary Schools (ASUSS) in Bayelsa State, Mr Oyiemi Ebiredeni, said that members of the union had been battling to survive, as a result of unpaid salaries.
