Michael Ibru Is Dead

Family of Michael Ibru (who had been battling with serious health ailment for over eight years in Florida, United States of America) this evening just announced the untimely death of their illustrious son who died in the early hours of Tuesday

Until his death,  Olorogun Michael Ibru was the chairman of the Ibru Organization, he died at the age of 86 on Tuesday morning. His death coming just  over one month after the burial of his younger brother, Olorogun Felix Ibru, the first civilian governor of Delta State.

Michael was a established entrepreneur who was a giant figure in many industries. He was the first son The Chief Epete Ibru of Agbarha-Otor in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. He had only one wife,  Cecilia Ibru, the former CEO of the defunct Oceanic Bank, recently jailed by EFCC for embezzlement of funds trusted in her care.

Repeat National Convention: Face off with Police We are on top of the matter - PDP

In light of the situation playing out at the National stadium,  Port-Harcourt, Rivers State due to the scheduled Repeat National Convention,  the leadership of the People's Democratic Party (PDP)  have issued a statement via its Facebook page asking that it's members should hold on as they are trying to resolve the matter with the Police. Heavily armed security officers have sealed the venue of the party’s convention, thus, preventing people from entering the premises. Boko Haram Ambush Military Escort

Today afternoon, suspected elements  of the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists who were foraging for food, ambushed troops of Operation LAFIYA DOLE escorting commercial vehicles from Damboa to Maiduguri, at Sanda general area, Borno State. Unfortunately, 5 civilians lost their lives at the incident and another died on the way to the hospital. Three soldiers also sustained injuries. The wounded have been evacuated to Maiduguri. Consequently, another robust patrol team has been despatched to reinforce the troops, clear the general area and pursue the terrorists. This unfortunate incident has brought to the fore the need for more vigilance and cooperation amongst all.
