WhatsApp to Start Sharing Your Number with Facebook

Image
Global messaging service WhatsApp says it will start sharing the phone numbers of its users with Facebook, its parent company. That means WhatsApp users could soon start seeing more targeted ads on Facebook — although not on the messaging service itself. The move is a subtle but significant shift for WhatsApp, which has long promised to safeguard the privacy of more than 1 billion users around the world. WhatsApp is giving users a limited time to opt out of sharing their information with Facebook, although they must take the extra step of unchecking a box to do so. It also says Facebook won't post phone numbers online or give them out to anyone. But the giant social network has been looking for ways to make money from WhatsApp since it bought the service two years ago, in an eye-popping deal ultimately worth $21.8 billion. At the same time, Facebook has pledged not to interfere with a longstanding promise by WhatsApp's co-founders to respect users' privacy and keep ads of

See Federal Government Allocations to States One Year(May 2015 to June 2016)

Image
With the massive allocations, what else can be the reason why States cannot pay salaries? See analysis by an aggrieved civil servant who is being owed 6 months salary by the Bayelsa State Government Based on this estimate, Bayelsa has been collecting the highest allocation per local govt close to N1Billion every month. The state should be the richest and the most developed state in the country, this is not mentioning the separate LGA allocation. However, despite all these, the state is still owing workers and lecturers up to 6months salary. A state being ruled by  PDP  since inception. My brothers from the south should ask their leaders what they have been doing exactly with all the money allocated to them, it's their collective wealth being squandered by some useless corrupt politicians.  But the way nature will have it, they won't, due to their ethnic bigotry..... N1Billion/LGA every 4weeks. For Akwa-Ibom State, well do the math?

Nasarawa State Government denies Slashing Workers Salaries by 50%

Image
This is according to the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice in Nasarawa State, Yusuf Usman during an interview on Sunrise Daily. “The strike was as a result of labour’s inability to comprehend the situation on ground, they had no reason to go on strike without actually taking into account the real situations on ground, Mr Usman told Channels television. “Here is a state that for five years consecutively has been paying without failing and without any default. “I emphasised this point because as we are talking with you there are so many states that are far behind in the payment of salaries, owing arrears of five, six, seven months. “So if Nasarawa State would, despite all the hardship in the country, keep fit with the payment of salaries for 5 years without arrears I think there is no reason. Mr Usman also debunked the allegations that the state government slashed the workers’ salaries by 50 per cent saying it was a reduction of the bonuses the government gave the worker
